The Four Rivers K-9 Search Rescue & Recovery Team is solely a volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through search, rescue and recovery as well as providing safety education in the areas that we serve. Our members devote thousands of hours yearly to training, educating the public, and search and rescue operations. We provide all our own personal equipment, meals, and transportation. Since at this time we receive no state or federal funds, we depend on the support of the community for medical supplies, search and rescue equipment, and other team supplies like uniforms and foul weather gear. The biggest personal expenses for most serving on our Team happens to be in the care of K9s and horses as well as the rising cost of fuel.

The Four Rivers K-9 Search Rescue & Recovery Team is made up completely of volunteers, and there are many expenses involved with our work! Training materials for the dogs and their handlers, travel for searches and seminars, hosting seminars for the public and other organizations, and medical expenses for the dogs are just a few of the things we have to contend with. As such, donations of any kind are much appreciated and helpful in our work of saving lives and bringing people home to their loved ones.
